Nickname for the RABe 52x series of EMU manufactered by Stadler for SBB. The FLIRT is a derivative of the GTW series of EMUs.

Regio-S-Bahn Basel: 15 kV AC, Switzerland and Germany - 30 units ordered for service beginning in 2006 - RABe 521
Stadtbahn Zug: 15 kV AC, Switzerland only - 12 units ordered for service beginning in 2004 - RABe 523

TILO: equipped for 15 kV AC and 3 kV DC (Italy) - 19 units ordered for service beginning in 2007
